Client: The American Museum in Britain
Directed by: Luke Maitland
Working with only architectural renderings and plan views, the American Museum in Britain was struggling to engage members of the public and potential investors in its vision for The New American Garden. A film was then commissioned to make this vision a tangible reality.
Work began by photographing the site from key locations, then over layering these images with the new planting and structures. We decided to give this film a soft water colour look, as though the scenes were being painted in as the viewer watches. By appearing to be an artist’s impression the animation provided enough information to give a clear idea of the plans, whilst also being loose enough to allow future changes to be made.
We are very pleased to say that the film has been an integral part of the museums fund raising, both here and in the States.
